This course offers a comprehensive foundation for understanding the field of Sport for Development and its potential to advance and protect children’s rights. Participants will explore how sport, when implemented with purpose and care, can serve as a powerful tool for education, empowerment, and social inclusion. The course will highlight the crucial role of tutors, coaches, and other key actors in creating safe and supportive environments—spaces that are inclusive, gender-equitable, and free from violence. It will also examine the multiple dimensions that contribute to making sport a genuinely safe space, including physical, emotional, and social aspects. Participants will discover how play and sport can become vehicles for learning, fostering essential life skills such as teamwork, empathy, leadership, and resilience. Ultimately, this course will be a starting point—demonstrating how transformative sporting experiences can generate lasting impact, both for individual participants and within their broader communities.
Nivelat Talana
Nivelat (Talana) is an interactive online learning platform that offers engaging, quiz-based courses. Each course combines a variety of activity types—such as gap-filling, multiple-choice, and categorisation exercises—to both deliver knowledge and assess understanding in an interactive way. A short introductory module, About Nivelat will be provided at the beginning of the course to familiarise participants with the platform’s features and ensure smooth navigation. The platform is highly intuitive and designed to make learning both effective and enjoyable.
