Two awareness raising sessions were implemented in Spain as part of the national dissemination and awareness-raising work linked to the project. Both sessions were delivered in a face-to-face format and targeted university students from disciplines related to social intervention, education and sport. A total of 54 participants took part in the sessions implemented in Spain.
The sessions were delivered in venues made available for this purpose, which included both outdoor spaces for practical activities and indoor rooms for the more theoretical parts of the sessions.
The sessions were centred on the objectives of the EQUI-Champions project, aiming to raise awareness around equality, inclusion and the creation of safer spaces in and through sport. They also sought to encourage reflection on vulnerability and participation, while helping participants connect these issues to their future academic and professional practice.
