Centre for Social Studies (CES-University of Coimbra) organised four awareness-raising sessions, three in Coimbra and one in Lisbon. The sessions in Coimbra were held between April and December 2025 at the Faculty of Sport Sciences and Physical Education (FCDEF), University of Coimbra (two sessions), and at the Coimbra School of Education (one session). Participants included in-service Physical Education teachers, students in Physical Education and Sport Sciences, and sports coaches. A total of 122 participants attended the sessions in Coimbra. These sessions were facilitated by Rita Santos, Marta Mascarenhas, Sofia Branquinho and Patrícia Santos.

CES also facilitated a session in Lisbon, which was held at the senior football club Clube Desportivo Vialonga and targeted football players, members of the technical team, support staff, and sports directors. 32 participants attended this session. This session was facilitated by Flávio Landim.

The sessions lasted between two and three hours and included an interactive lecture addressing gender norms, stereotypes, and gender-based violence, both in society and within sport contexts. Particular attention was given to gender inequalities and discrimination in sport, followed by facilitated discussions encouraging participants to reflect on their experiences and professional practices.
